About
Hi, I’m Amrit Kaur, a conceptual artist whose practice continuously evolves through the exploration of diverse mediums and techniques. My work is deeply influenced by my appreciation for the flora and fauna of Aotearoa, New Zealand—its natural landscapes serving as a constant source of inspiration. Through my art, I weave together elements of my Punjabi-Sikh heritage with the rich narratives of Māori mythology, creating pieces that reflect my unique cultural and personal perspective.
For me, art is a form of storytelling, a way to express my emotions and experiences. I use acrylics, modeling paste, and beads to build textured layers that give voice to the depth of my inner world. Each piece is an invitation to explore my thoughts and feelings, capturing a moment, a memory, or an idea. My work is a continuous exploration of connection, encouraging viewers to engage with the stories I carry within and reflect on the world around us.
